Sign up for the Smart911 Emergency Notification System
The City of Beverly uses the Rave Smart 911 Emergency Notification System (formerly Swift911) to quickly and efficiently alert and inform residents in the event of an emergency, weather events, and more. This communications service is different from the Notify Me service that is also available through our website. We strongly recommend users to register for Smart911 in addition to any of the notices you may receive through Notify Me.

Alerts
Subscribers will receive emergency alerts via your selection of text message, email, voice messaging, and/or the Rave Smart 911 mobile app for a variety of emergency events, including:
Weather and traffic alerts; prolonged power outages; hazardous material leaks; natural disaster alerts; large fires affecting public safety; and other limited and targeted emergency alerts.
Once registered, you can log in at any time to update your contact information and add/remove yourself from available list subscriptions. The information you submit will only be used for emergency notification purposes.
Required Information
The following information is required to enroll in the Rave Smart 911 notification system. Because alerts are targeted geographically, your home address is required:
- First and last name;
- Street address city, state, zip code (physical address, no P.O. boxes);
- Primary phone number;
- E-mail address; and
- Secondary phone numbers and addresses can also be entered.
Information for Cell Phone Users
Messages can be sent both city-wide, and to targeted geographic areas. While phone numbers that were registered through Swift911 have been automatically enrolled in the system, however, to make changes to your account, you may need to re-register.
All businesses should register, as should individuals who have unlisted phone numbers, who have changed their phone number or address within the past year, and those who use a cellular phone or VoIP phone as their primary number.

Residents without Internet access or who need help signing up online can contact the Mayor's Office at (978) 605-2382 during business hours.
