In Focus is a new youth filmmaking program at The Cabot developed to educate and inspire students, ages 11-13, to step behind-the-lens and create their own films! 

The goal of the program is to introduce and develop the skills in students to capture their emotions through storytelling. We focus on teaching the fundamentals of film, hands-on activities, and self-expression. The program provides equal access to media and movie creation for students on the North Shore who may not have the means to explore this medium.

In Focus – Afterschool Group Pilot

A youth media program running after school on Mondays & Wednesday 3:30PM-5:30PM. Starting March 7th and continuing through June 15th, 2022. No classes will be held during April school vacation week, April 18-22, 2022.

The program is a free after school program offered to allow North Shore students to tell their own stories through film in a safe and supportive environment. Applications will be accepted until the program is full with priority given to students from lower income households. 12 students will be accepted for this pilot program.
