NOTICE OF PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT PLAN MEETING, FORMER VARIAN FACILITY SITE

150 SOHIER ROAD, BEVERLY, MASSACHUSETTS, MADEP SITE #3-0485

A release of oil and/or hazardous materials has occurred at this location, which is a disposal site as defined by M.G.L. c. 21E, § 2 and the Massachusetts Contingency Plan, 310 CMR 40.0000. Varian Medical Systems, Inc. previously received a petition from residents in Beverly, Massachusetts requesting that this disposal site (RTN 3-0485), be designated a Public Involvement Plan site, in accordance with M.G.L. c. 21E §14(a) and 310 CMR40.1404.

A public meeting will be held at Shore Country Day School, 545 Cabot St, Beverly, MA 01915 on June 9, 2022, at 7pm to provide information about disposal site conditions and to present the results of recent assessment work. Doors will open at 6:30pm. As a remote option, a meeting link with instructions will be provided on the Town website at https://www.beverlyma.gov/ or audio call in number (805) 618-2502 Conference ID# 526969271.
